Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two-time world title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making huge earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary stare-down, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually happening.
