'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League comeback

Kane achieves his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his interest in going back to the Premier League has lessened and he is willing to explore a new agreement with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is currently halfway through the four-year contract he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the transfer window of 2023.

The experienced forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German side, contributing them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which marked the maiden major honor of his distinguished career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier expressed that he would like to see Kane come back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England skipper has now suggested that he is no longer as enthusiastic about returning home as he previously was, and would seriously consider lengthening his stay in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could definitely see that," he remarked.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be open to talk and have an honest conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so progresses and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top marksman for both Tottenham and England and recently became the fastest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five divisions, reaching the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had avoided him until he won the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would react after ending his trophy drought, but now thinks it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Looking Ahead

  • Continued success with Bayern Munich stays Kane's top focus
  • The option of a Premier League return has noticeably decreased
  • New contract negotiations could commence in the upcoming future
  • Kane's remarkable goal-scoring record continues to impress
